Call to Action
Local F-85, Camp Pendleton Fire Department has a member in need of leave donations. Derrick Pursglove's 3 year old son Colton has been going through intense rounds of chemotherapy battling leukemia. Colton will be receiving a bone marrow transplant soon. This process has left Colton extremely immunocompromised, and Derrick cannot risk exposing his son to what we are exposed to on a regular basis while on duty.
Derrick has exhausted his leave and is now enrolled in the Voluntary Leave Transfer Program.
Derrick will not be able to risk coming back to work for approximately 4 more months.
Local F-85 requests that 16th District members consider a great act of solidarity and personal sacrifice and donate their annual leave to ensure being paid is not something Derrick and his family have to think about right now. Please forward this email to your members.
How to Donate
To donate, please complete the OPM 630b form and provide a copy of your most recent LES.
The leave recipient is Derrick Pursglove, Camp Pendleton F&ES
