A message from your fearless leader from CNRSW Fire & Emergency Services
This is coming from a man who assumes no physical risk as he gloats in the Ivory tower known as The Region.
This is coming from a man who asks you not to make excuses, yet does not get hit with the constant mandatory overtimes that have run rampant under his watch.
This is a man who could address the retention issue with retention bonuses (common around the DOD) or locality increases, yet he chooses not to.
This is a man who chose to save money by cutting staffing to the First-In Engine after the Bohnamme Richard Fire further placing Naval Base San Diego and the community at risk.
A man who also decided to cut staffing to the first in Engine who responds to Nuclear Powered Aircraft Carriers in San Diego. A move that currently places the residents of San Diego at increased risk.
Chief, if you want to wear the uniform, buy it on ebay. Navy Region Southwest deserves a real leader who staffs his department.
Stay proud Local F-33. Don't let this embarrassment get you down. We fight the fires, we run the medical calls. We assume the risk.
Solidarity!
