    Brothers & Sisters of I.A.F.F. Local F-33,

We have created a website training resource for our members to utilize that is full of useful content that will help each of us fulfill our duties. The link is www.FedFireTrainingSD.org. Some of the benefits you will find are:

    Training Courses

We have a mix of organically created and professionally purchased lesson plans that fill all of our emergency operations ESAMS requirements. This tool allows all of our crews to learn from the same content in the same way which enables us to operate uniformly on the fire ground.

    Video Training

In addition to the training courses there is valuable training content that in most cases support the power point Lesson plans.

    Monthly Focus

This is one of the most exciting links on the page! As a monthly focus this link breaks down the training into Skilled Job Duty Tasks; For example, Engine Company Ops, Truck Company Ops, EMS, etc. We have created an algorithm that enables units with the same Job duty tasks to operate their monthly focuses together. This will allow for more Multi company drills and units operating together that would not normally do so.

    Apparatus Equipment

As we all know, we operate as an all-hazard all-risk fire department, we have created a standard of equipment. With that we have added its operation, safety and, maintenance in an easy to read format. This format allows all members to see what equipment is on each vehicle and how it operates.

    Professional Development

In this link you will find something for all skill levels. You will also find Skills Verification Sheets to get all of us operating to an optimum standard. The Driver Operator Hydraulics Manual is a must read!

    Task Books

All of your departmental signed task books are in this link. It is a tool to ensure your are being trained in a clear and consistent manner.

    Links

The Links section of this page allows the member to find additional items ranging from initial size up training, available classes going on in the County and State, current wildfire weather conditions, and County resource contact numbers.

    1403 Live Fire

This training and Information will enable all motivated members to qualify to use our Live Fire Training props at the instructor level. This is a must for all members wishing to be a qualified to be part of our Live Fire Cadre.

To conclude, this website will hopefully be a tool to further our skills and abilities; The intent is and always will be, preparation. The better prepared we are and the more we share with each other, the better we will be in our operations together.
